"Templates were a bit underwhelming"
At first glance the templates looked decent, so I thought they’d save me some time. But once I actually started editing them, a lot of it felt kind of basic... and some sections just didn’t line up the way I expected. I ended up fixing more than I thought I’d have to. It’s not awful or anything, just... for me, it didn’t really feel worth the extra time
"Mobile pages were more work than expected"
I used Shogun to build a few landing pages, the desktop versions looked good without too much trouble. The headache started when I checked everything on mobile. Spacing between blocks would look strange, buttons didn’t line up how I expected, and I kept having to go back and fix the same little issues after previewing.
Maybe it’s smoother if you’ve used it a lot and know the workarounds, but for me it ended up taking more time than I wanted. It’s not a bad tool overall, but my personal takeaway is that the mobile editing experience was frustrating enough that I’d hesitate to use it again for quick landing pages.

"I really wanted the analytics to be..."
I really wanted the analytics to be useful, but they left me disappointed. The numbers seemed delayed, and after a while I didn’t feel like I could fully trust what I was looking at. It made it hard to tell what was actually working and what wasn’t. For what they’re charging, I think it’s only fair to expect clear, reliable reporting, and this just didn’t deliver.

"I can see how this tool..."
I can see how this tool could be solid once everything is set up, but getting started was a bit frustrating for me. The onboarding had more steps than I expected, and a few parts weren’t explained clearly enough. I ended up reaching out to support for stuff that felt like it should’ve been obvious in the setup flow. Compared to other tools I’ve tried in this price range, this felt a little clunky. Hoping it improves, because the product itself might still be useful.

"I use Shogun for our store pages, and..."
I use Shogun for our store pages, and I had to reach out to support after one of our pages kept saving in a weird way and not behaving like it should.
The support rep was polite and did try to help, but the whole thing took longer than I expected. I also had to repeat the issue more than once, and after a while I felt like I needed to push for it to be escalated so someone could actually get to the bottom of it.
To be fair, the fix did work in the end, so I’m not saying the support was bad. I just expected faster follow-up and a smoother process for the price. Overall it was okay, but a little frustrating

"Publishing pages feels straightforward"
Publishing pages has been easy for me so far. It’s quick enough that it doesn’t feel like a chore, and I appreciate tools that respect people’s time instead of making simple things harder than they need to be

"Migration was fine, but had a few bumps"
I moved our pages over and most of it worked well, but a few of the layouts got messed up along the way. Support did help, though it took a little longer than I expected. It all got sorted in the end, so it was okay overall, just not the smoothest migration.

"I thought I’d hit a wall..."
I thought I’d hit a wall during setup, but the Shogun docs made it way easier than expected. The screenshots and step-by-step instructions gave me a lot more confidence, especially with parts I don’t usually handle myself.
I did have to dig around a little for one answer, but I still found what I needed without reaching out to support. Overall, the docs were clear, helpful, and made the whole process feel much less intimidating.

"I found this way more frustrating than it..."
I found this way more frustrating than it needed to be. It took me forever just to find basic tools, and nothing felt simple or clear. I also got transferred around when I tried to get help, which made the whole experience even more annoying.

"I swear, trying to move blocks around..."
I swear, trying to move blocks around is like dealing with a tiny chaos goblin. I drag something to one spot, and suddenly it’s jumping all over the page like it has big plans of its own. Super frustrating for something that should be simple.

"I ended up getting charged more than..."
I ended up getting charged more than I expected, and the billing details weren’t clear enough for me to understand why. I reached out to support, but it mostly felt like I was stuck in a loop of getting the same generic responses without anyone actually explaining the charge. Frustrating experience overall.

"Made it way easier to improve our product pages"
We started using Shogun on a few of our product pages, and it made things a lot less stressful. I’m not super technical, so being able to move sections around and test different layouts without waiting on someone else was a huge help. After a few small tweaks, our add-to-cart rate actually went up, which was exciting. Support was solid too, not instant every single time, but they were helpful when they got back to us. Weirdly, I remember making one of the changes while eating a slightly stale blueberry muffin at my desk, and that ended up being the version that performed best

"Good for landing pages, but SEO feels a little basic"
I’ve been using Shogun mostly to build landing pages, and overall it’s been solid. As someone who tends to obsess over the little SEO details, I appreciated that I could update page titles, meta descriptions, image alt text, and still have pages that usually load just fine.
That said, I did find myself wishing the SEO side gave a bit more guidance. It would be really helpful to have warnings, tips, or suggestions for what needs fixing instead of having to dig around and figure it out myself. It’s not bad at all, but if you’re the kind of person who really cares about SEO details, it can feel a little incomplete.

"I really wanted to like it, but it..."
I really wanted to like it, but it keeps crashing way too often for me. Maybe others are having a better experience, but on my end it’s been unstable...

"Support was painfully slow, though I guess they were polite"
I had to wait several days just to get a basic reply from support, which was frustrating. I wasn’t asking for anything complicated, so the delay felt unnecessary. That said, when they finally got back to me, the response was decent enough, so I’m not totally mad about it. Still, the wait really left a bad impression.

"Shogun does the job once you figure your..."
Shogun does the job once you figure your way around it, but it took me longer than I expected to get comfortable. A few things weren’t very obvious at first, so I ended up clicking around and trying stuff until it made sense, which was kind of a hassle. It’s a good tool overall, just not as beginner-friendly as I was hoping

"A lifesaver for Shopify, with a tiny bit of drama"
Shogun has been really solid for our Shopify store. Editing pages is straightforward, which feels like a blessing when you just need to get things done. The only little hiccup is that changes can sometimes take a moment to load, and in that brief pause it feels like time itself is standing still. But overall, I’m happy with it and it’s made managing our pages way easier.

"A bit disappointing for customization"
I was a little disappointed with how limited the customization felt. I expected more freedom to tweak the design, but even simple changes ended up being more annoying than they should’ve been.

"Way Too expensive for what you get"
It just feels overpriced for what it is. It does the basic Stuff, sure, but not enough to make me feel like it was worth the money.
